The New 2010 Cube.
When it comes to buying a new Nissan Maxima or even a used Nissan Frontier, I’ll take the Cube. Nissan’s cute Cube, selling a lot in Japan, finally reaches the Mainland and has the college crowd looking its way with a square body and some pretty cool options inside as well as outside. For the last three generations Nissan has made enormous changes on the Cube, out doing the xB and the Soul.
The 2010 Scion xB compact SUV is a front-wheel drive wagon with a one piece rear tail gate. A 158-hp. 4 cylinder 2.4 liter engine hooked up to one of two transmission a five speed manual or four speed automatic. Professionals are proned to relate the 2010 Nissan Cube with the Scion xB or Kia Soul, but the reality is that nothing really compares to the funky, well rounded-box looks of the brand new Nissan Cube. For Nissan, 2010 marks the second year that the Nissan Cube will be available in the United States, although the first three generations have been sold on foreign ground for quite some time. Most noticeable on the interior of the Cube is a ripple effect that dominates the headliner, visors and is repeated in the bottoms of the cup holders. This little touch can seem a bit too much, although buyers have all reacted positively after seeing the greatlooks of the Jacuzzi lounge theme.
The Nissan Cube comes fully equipped with a perfect selection of standard safety features, including ABS with brake assist and traction-control and antiskid systems. Basic seat mounted side and front airbags, and full-length head-protecting curtain airbags keeping all passengers safe. Talks have been made about Nissan coming out with an AWD, electric powered rear wheels to help the front wheels for better traction in the rain, that’s awesome for new buyers. Nissan has also talked about a fully electric car based on the Cube, though it won’t be offered for consumer purchase in the U.S. until 2012.
